Gorgeous French Confit Pot

Description

This is a French confit pot, traditionally used in southern France for storing and preserving foods like duck or goose confit. The top portion is coated with a glossy ochre-yellow glaze, which helped protect the contents and facilitated cleaning. The bottom half is left unglazed, revealing the natural terracotta, a feature designed for partial burial to maintain cool storage. Two small handles on the sides provide easy handling. The pot shows signs of aging and wear, enhancing its rustic character and antique charm.
