Description
A magnificent pair of 19th-century cast iron garden urns, attributed to the Andrew Handyside Foundry of Derby, circa 1870. Of campana form with broad flared rims, decorative scrollwork and hoop handles resting on sculpted faces. Raised on square pedestal bases. Years of outdoor use have created a heavily weathered surface with layers of old paint, rust and natural patina, giving the pair great character.
