Pair of equine studies of a horse in its stable . The first is signed and dated …. (lower right)

slightly naive in style which was over the case in paintings of horses around this period however there is very fine brush strokes depicting the straw on the stable floor. 
Both are oil on canvas and in excellent antique condition.
We believe the frames may be later than 18.. .Rich wooden frames with a gilded edge make this lovely little pair of paintings really stand out and their small size make them very desirable for any country cottage or home .
