COLLECTORS QUILT
An outstanding example of an English North Country/Durham Floral Framed Quilt.
Rare and so hard to find these days.
An exceptional and well preserved quilt.
The quilting is excellent and all hand done. Neat and even stitches in elaborate quilting designs. Approximately 5 stitches per inch.
Best of a kind quilt in exceptional condition.
Raspberry pink cotton sateen on the plain side and on the opposite side a lovely romantic butter cream floral border with contrasting pink stitches setting off a pink interior.
Mint Condition.
Originally purchased in Haydon Bridge in Northumberland,England 30 years ago from a quilt collector.
From its appearance it was never used and was always kept for best.
The quality of the quilt suggests it was made for a special occasion or gift, maybe a wedding present!
