A Large 19th Century English Patchwork Quilt / Coverlet .
This quilt has the most wonderful array of period fabrics.
The design displays a central square with small frames around a four leaf clover, the rest of the patchwork is made up of triangles and squares in floral, striped and patterned coloured cottons, within a red and blue floral border. I don’t think you would ever tire of studying the fabrics.
A visually stunning quilt which is becoming harder to find these days.
Some staining overall which is more noticeable on the back, several of the patches have rubbed and are worn there is a little fading to others and some discolouration to the reverse .
Perfect for display or restoration.
