Description
A very rare Huntley & Palmers “Waverley” series biscuit tin from 1903, designed in the shape of eight classic books by Sir Walter Scott bound together by a tin “leather” strap. The tin is decorated in rich shades of brown, ochre, and black, giving the “books” a leather-bound appearance, and the sides feature an embossed scrollwork design. The underside clearly displays the famous name “Huntley & Palmer Biscuits Reading & London”. In amazing antique condition.
