Davenport (1794 -1887) Blue and White Chinoiserie Serving Bowl with Scalloped Edge
Fine example of a 19th century transfer printed blue and white shallow bowl in a two temple pattern with a Fitzhugh border. It is unmarked but the pattern is the same as other marked pieces by Davenport. In good condition for its age and the soft mid blue is sharp. The scalloped edge has no chips although there is a firing crack to the outside. The glaze has scratches commensurate with use but this has not affected the image.
